PowerPoint |
PowerPoint is a great visual support tool that has been abused over the past fifteen years.
Before beginning any PowerPoint project, you need to read article from the New York Times: PowerPoint is Evil. It will guide you in the creation of your project.
Remember, you do not need to use PowerPoint as your "outline" or your script for a speech. PLEASE use it to provide visuals, sound, and "move" your audience to what you want them to feel from your presentation!
These two movies will give you a basic understanding of PowerPoint. You can open them in one screen, and then open PowerPoint. This way you can toggle between both screens (using the ALT button and the TAB button at the same time to toggle) and go step by step to create a new PowerPoint.
Good Luck!
